Celebrating Dignity Action Day

Dignity Action Day on 1st February 2015 is a national event that aims to provide a truly memorable day for people receiving care and ensures they are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in daily life.

At Stallingborough Lodge Liz Walmsley, Dignity Champion, organised a full day of activities based around a seaside theme.

The dining room was decorated with fishing nets and seaside props; fish and chips was served for lunch and there was a host of activities throughout the day including a brilliant accordion player, seaside fun photography, candyfloss and popcorn. One of our carers even made a seaside themed cake. A great day was had by residents, their families and staff.
